EMILIE
Poet and spoken word performer Emilie Zoey Baker is the winner of the 2010 International Slam Review as part of the Berlin International Literature Festival, she also toured and performed in Paris, London and Singapore ending at the 2010 Ubud Writers festival in Bali. She toured North America in 2009 following an invitation to perform at Montréal’s Festival Voix d’Amériques. The tour included New York, Chicago, Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver with fellow poets Sean M Whelan and Alicia Sometimes. The winner of the Nimbin Performance Poetry World Cup and multi-Slam champion, Emilie has featured at many writers’ festivals and events. Including the Sydney and Melbourne Writers Festivals, Woodford Folk Fest, The Big Day Out and Night Words at the Sydney Opera House.
Along with Michael Nolan and Sean M Whelan She is co-coordinator of Liner Notes, a legendary Melbourne spoken word night dedicated to interpreting a classic album now in it’s 7th year. Along with her fellow collaborators, Emilie was part of the world premiere sell out season of Elemental, poetry at the planetarium as part of the 2009 International Arts Festival. She is the Victorian coordinator for The National Australian Poetry Slam, the Education Officer at Australian Poetry and coordinator of Out Loud, Victoria’s first ever teen team slam. She is also the current spoken word editor for the online literary journal Cordite.

Bethany Atkinson-Quinton is a radio producer, presenter and creative audio maker based in Melbourne. Currently working across multiple audio projects for PBS, RRR, FBi and the Australian Red Cross, Beth is passionate about the power of storytelling to capture and present varied experiences and voices.
